Weekend Visit

My sister Nena came to visit this weekend to hang out with Brayden one last time before the craziness of school got in the way. Derek and I decided to take advantage of the free babysitter. Friday we saw Randy Rogers out in good ol' Denton and Saturday was Incubus. Both were awesome shows. Thanks Nena!! She is so much better at remembering to take pictures then I am. Here are a few pictures she took...3 months old.

Derek's 4 wheeler is out to get him!

I hate that stinkin 4 wheeler. Derek has not had very good luck when it comes down to that thing. It has toppled over on him and sent him to emergency, carried him down a river where he had to be hauled out by strangers, and today...

ALMOST SET HIM ON FIRE!!!

I finally complained enough and he listed it on Craig's List. He put a new battery it and was getting it ready to sell. He got it started and was about to take it for a test drive when it burst into flames with him on it. Luckily he was able to kill it and grab the hose before there were any explosions in our backyard!

What an evening.

2 months and growing

Brayden went to the doctor to today for his two month well visit. He now weighs 14 lbs. 9 1/2 oz.--97 percentile. He's 24 1/4 in. tall--90 percentile. My baby is growing so fast I can't believe it. Even though he absolutely hates tummy time, he's getting really good at picking up his head . He loves "talking", especially with his daddy in the morning after a good nights sleep (a full eight hours...woohoo!!).

I went back to work this week...not too sure how that was going to go, but so far so good. Although I have enjoyed the time off and getting to spend all day with Brayden, I do enjoy being back at work. I was not very good at keeping myself busy during all those hours Brayden would nap. Don't get me wrong though, I do miss him so much when I'm away, but I have his smiling face scroll arcoss my computer all day long. It also helps to know he's having a great time hanging out with Jammi and his new friends.

Well here it goes, my attempt at blogging... I figured that since Derek and I have been blessed with our amazing son Brayden Quinn, I'd do my best at keeping our family and friends informed.

So, Brayden is now 2 months old! and I have to say, we have been blessed with a great baby boy. He is now sleeping through the night, for the most part and growing like crazy (which means he's eating like crazy).

Not too many downsides to the whole parenting thing as of yet. As advertised, sleep and personal time are luxuries, and pretty much every thing revolves around him. Guess I should get used to it, from what I'm told, it will be like this for the next 18 years :)

Guess the best way to share is through a few of my favorite pics. I'm sure I'll have many more posts to come, and hope everyone enjoys. Thanks for the inspiration Jammi!
